IP not loading downloaded icon sets

Hello. I've only been using IP for about a month now, but I've already run into a big issue with it; it doesn't load any of my downloaded icon sets. It will half load them, and change a few icons here and there across my computer, but when I try to choose my own icons for certain applications and folders and such, either the icon will not be applied or it will be changed to a different icon (assuming I don't get a big yellow ! telling me that icons aren't being loaded). I'm using Vista Ultimate. What's goin on?

Okay so what you are saying is that you have a problem applying downloaded icons.

The simply answer might be is that the icon package that you downloaded didn't have an icon included for some of the programs you have.

Not sure about changing individual icons, haven't had that problem, but then I'm not on Vista.

nkeati it seems that we have the same problem with the *.ip file. i have 1 more problem i paid for the pire suite i i can't use that as well because of the download extension so i will be wathching your post to see if someone can help us.

I've had IP for a couple of months and am having the same darn problem.. The new icons appear here and there on some things but, for the most part, nothing gets changed anywhere else.. My entire desktop doesn't change with the exception of the IE icon.. I have a half-dozen or so packages that I've download from WinCus, I've made sure to checking the settings and everything looks fine, but nothing I do seems to get the problem solved.. Any help would be greatly appreciated..

I have the same problem. Some iconpacks wont load and give me a yellow exclaimation mark. Using Vista x64 and a beta version here.

Filed a ticket but there's no reply for a long long time. There has also been no newer beta releases.

Just decided to add a 'footnote' to our complaint about IP not loading all icons.. I'm still having the same problem, I've never received an ounce of help on it and I think everyone who has made the same mistake of purchasing this package has been quite thoroughly ripped off! All my friends who have asked me about IP have received a sound and bitter warning from me about it.. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS ADD-ON, IT DOES NOT WORK AND NO ONE WILL EVER HELP YOU WITH IT!! I also think it's very sad that so many talented artists are wasting their time designing and creating custom icons that cannot be used.. I just go to other places on the web now and get new ones for myself.. I never use IP anymore..  :(

Since your inital post a number of updates have been made.  have you updated?
Also, have you emailed support@stardock.com?  These forums are for user support.  Official support is available through email.

I'm sorry that you had a bad experience . . let's try again to see if it can be resolved.
