Sorry, too creeped out to stick around! X-( (hate spiders!) But, before I go I want to share a funny. My best-friend and I were in the Rain Forest area at a zoo. I was about 10 to 20 feet ahead of her, and noticed this area for a large spider. I looked and searched, but couldn't see it there anywhere, so I turned to look at an exibit on the other side. ( I need to state now that Nancy is a brave soul. Not much rattles her cage, keep this in mind) By the time I finished looking at the exibit, I turned around to see Nancy carefully leaning as far as she could over the rail to find this spider. Well, I just couldn't help myself. I quietly walked up behind her, spread my hand way out, arched my fingers, and ran my fingers like a spider across her back while saying "Did you find the spider yet?" That girl come off that rail hollerin' and arms flappin' everywhere! It's been several years since then, but I still have to laugh!

Fuzzy, I hear there are really big spiders!(about the size of your computer chair seat) Should be about the size you are looking for. South America or Africa. Maybe you can go see about it and let us know how you do! :CONGRAT:

Don't like spiders...they all get squished around here. A few years ago I was bitten on the left leg by a white tailed spider (a native of Oz), and its digestive enzymes ate away considerable soft tissue/muscle, etc.... very painful and laid me up for 12 months or more.

That green guy is cute.

There's no such thing as a cute spider...they're either dead or alive (see above for details of any live ones discovered here) ;)

Being South African, I love spiders. We only have one species that is really poisonous, the Lactrodectus or button spider (Black widow).

The first (beautiful) guy is a jumping spider. There is also a wolf spider and a crab spider. The green beauty looks like a Nephila. Beautiful pics--superb.
