A mastercard moment..........Kitty buys Vista home premium on ebay!!

may you all crack a grin outa my crazy experiences..........

And damn right I did!  I decided to sum it all up in a kind of a strange mastercard scenario...... ;)

Buying a couple of cokes in the morning so I dont have to leave the house again for the day : $6.00

Ringing the only 3 'computer guy' adverts in the paper to inquire about a vista upgrade : $ 2.00

Buying Vista home premium on ebay : $160 (postage included)

Realizing that upgrading to vista wont make my brain any less kooky: priceless.

I don't often touch soft drink these days, but if/when I do it's always coke... it has a bite missing in everything else and goes orright with 'subway' now meat pies are off the menu.

You remember the 3 litre cokes? Yeah mrs starkers & I used to get 3 or 4 of those (warm) from the supermarket each fortnight... they'd sometimes last a few days, often not. Now I'm pushing to finish a 600ml coke in a sitting... bloating and cyclone strength wind, not so good at the local Subway... and 'pardon me' just doesn't cut it with some patrons. ;p

Yep, same here with the Pepsi... since Wacko Jacko promoted it I can't disassociate the two or get that whole singed hair thing out of my mind...gawd, it's almost like yer can taste the burning hair and hear his whiny arsed voice X-( ;p

lol pepsi.........i concur. Ive actually decided today to drink more water, my body is screaming at me that it needs more water....so im starting out 'gently' because i really dont like water.
So i decided to finally open one of my jars of tang, and add that to a bottle of water..and gradually ill cut down the tang ammount......(im truly squirming at this idea....being a rockkid and not drinking coke is weird.......but i wanna live at least past 35, so i guess i havta do something good for my bod)

Me, either.... in fact, I real hard pressed to bring myself to drink it, cos tap water around here tastes bloody awful, like it's full of chemicals...

...not only that, I got told fish do rude things in it, so it's not something I willingly put in my mouth... unless it's flavoured with Tetleys. ;p

You're right, tho, we do need to drink more water... so I put in a bit of Buderim Lime Refresher with a tad of ginger in it to nullify the tap taste. :)

I would kill for a decent tasting soft drink of any kind right now. I have migraines and the meds that the doctor put me on for it..by the name of Topomax (pardon my spelling)..makes any kind of carbonated drink taste absolutely disgusting. I've not had a soft drink that I could drink in about 5 years. And for someone who used to chug 2-3 of the liter drinks a day at work..I'm still having withdrawals..

Can you get a PUR water filter that hooks up at you tap in Oz? It will get rid of 99% of the chemicals that cause the nasty taste and smell. Well worth the $35.00 for the one I bought. The water comes out cleaner than that bottled water they sell in the stores.

Spent a bit of time up on Mt Tambourine a while back, and the spring water up there is amazingly fresh, clean and pure enough to drink from the stream... beeeeaUtiful. :)

Will have to look into that... one that hooks into the tap. Had a water filter once (think my ex-wife took it) that had an upper and lower tank... the tap water filtered through to the lower tank which had a convenient tap... it fitted nicely in the fridge so there was always cold water on tap. Might even get another one of those, yet. :)
