Civil War Mega Event?

Hey,

Just wanted to ask you fellow gamers whether you know if a civil war mega event has made its way to the game in the recent updates? Or perhaps it's planned for the upcoming TA expansion?

Some light into this would be greatly appreciated as I already tried to use the search function without much success.

There are reports that there is an event that will cause a splinter faction of your empire to emerge.
