Restarting Applications when started already

Hi,

How to I prevent an application from starting again if it is already running? I have ObjectDock PLus and cannot find any setting to prevent this.

Thanks

Right click on the dock -> Dock Settings. Choose General and click the Miscellaneous Options button. It's the first option here.

When shortcut is run, if program is already running bring it to the foreground only

Mike,

Thanks for the quick reply. That seems to work for most apps, but not all. Example. I have OUTLOOK Runninc. If I click on the Calendar Dosklet, it opens again. Yet the email Icon does not Open it.

The docklets will run differently than any shortcuts as these are separate applications. A docklet's behavior (position, events) is handled by ObjectDock, but its functionality is dependent upon the docklet's code. Click events are handled by the docklet.

Actually for Outlook if you pass through the /recycle switch as an argument you can force it to use the open instance if there is one
