eAPLauncher.exe - Description and Recommendation
Acer Empowering Technology is a suite of system-level tools that is preinstalled on Acer desktop and laptop PCs. It provides quick access to functions such as power management profiles and settings, network profiles, system BIOS settings, and security/encryption, through a small tool window on the desktop, which cannot be completely hidden. Most of these settings are available through Windows' own control panels, so using these tools is not neccessary. However, some tools provide additional functionalty that is not accessible otherwise (for example, Acer ePower Management is capable of powering down several devices, like the Bluetooth module, the CardBus slot or the Firewire interface, on some machines). If these features are used, it is best to leave the software installed.
eAPLauncher.exe - Uninstall Techniques
Each component of Acer Empowering Technology ("Acer ePower Management" etc.) can be uninstalled separately through the "Add/Remove Software" control panel. There is an additional entry, "Acer Empowering Technology", which provides the framework for the other components; this component can only be uninstalled after removing each individual component.
