What is ODNT?

Is there anyway to get these themes without installing SDC? I have no interest in SDC.

Thanks.

ODNT Wiki page

As for getting the themes without SDC...not to my knowledge. SDC is really a great program and is the means one needs in order to download, install, and manage all of the ODNT components.

ODNT is the ObjectDesktop Network.  It's a subscription service for most of Stardock's customization applications.  You can read more about it at it's site (https://www.stardock.com/products/odnt/)

Thanks ... Object Desktop is more than I need/want. I thught ODNT might be a newsletter I could subscribe to. My mistake.

Regarding SDC - I see it as unnecessary bloat, just more junk to clean up on the hard drive. The WB installer generally works. When it doesn't, I just revert back with my back-up and wait until SD gets it right with the next build.

Thanks for the replies. Plenty of themes to work with without the mystery ones

Hi all. I just istaled OD via SDCentral. Weird program by the way.

Anyhow, I installed Quest. Great suite; however, I cannot locate the wallpaper file on my machine. I can see it in WB6 and in ThemeManager but I cannot for the life of me find it on the HDD. This is all I have managed to find. C:\documents and settings\all users\documents\stardock\WindowBlinds\WBThumb\WINDOWS Quest1600.bmp.LWBThumb

Trying to figure out where all the OD programs place files is nuts. They are everywhere.

Let me know if you can find the wall. I want to use it with LogonStudio to create a login.

I paid for it. Where is it?

Thanks.

ps... if anyone knows where to point me to a tutorial on how to eaisly backup and streamline all these themes, skins, wallpapers, and stuff let me know. The wincustomize an sdc browsers, as well as WB6 and ThemeManager put lots of data on C.

Folks that partition their HDDs for maximum performance have little on C other than OS and Apps and Data goes on another partition. What gives? Help?

i.e.,) C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Stardock\ThemeManager is where TM puts all the themes you create.
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Stardock\WindowBlinds is where WB unloads the .wwa skin files.

BTW, my Stardock Central and Object Desktop only came with 1 premium suite (Quest). Where is Turbo? Cheers

Hello,

I need some clarification.....please. I have the paid versions of WB6, and Icon Packager. I have the latest version of Stardock Central (SDC) downloaded on my pc also. Is the Quest theme only available with the purchase of Object Desktop? The Quest theme looks great from some of the screen shots I've seen. I would love to add it to my WB6. Thank you.

Yes, that would be a correct statement.

Hi prickly pear,
I think the free premium suites and skins only come when you buy the entire Object Desktop package and maybe that's why I got it. Open SDC, click on the Object Desktop icon on the left. Besides all the applications listed I have the OD Premium Suites and OD Premium Skins icons. I right clicked on them, downloaded, and installed. Hope this helps. Cheers.

I'm really sorry prickly pear I didn't speak the truth. You can buy them. Check out the link below and go to the Original Posting. Again I'm sorry about giving you wrong information.

In Vista the OD stuff is installed in:

C:\Users\Public\Documents\Stardock

The walls etc for Quest are here:

C:\Users\Public\Documents\Stardock\ThemeManager\Quest

Thanks liquidguru. I use XPSP2. Found it in the C:\Windows Quest1600.bmp. SDCentral or ThemeManager put it in the Windows directory.

Hello Philly0381,

THANK YOU for the information. I don't have Object Desktop but do have the paid version of WB6. I will be more than happy to purchase the Quest theme for WB6. I am looking forward to when it becomes available to purchase for WB6.
