Zubaz, how about just selecting the wallpaper and hitting del? Does that work on your version?

Yep
So does [ctrl]-c and [ctrl]-v

Do a search in your shared folder for .jpg and .png files. This will list all the wallpapers in all the skins. Delete as needed.

Weird. Why would MS limit that except for Ultimate, it's not like it's a major capability. Anyway, Ultimate also has 2 more options for wallpaper display "Fit to screen keeping aspect ratio" and "Fit to screen while cropping" which it appears you don't have.

Yeah, because that's much simpler then just right-clicking on the picture in the interface and hitting delete.

Well, look at the positive part of this thread. It started bad, but in the end we all learned of a limitation that Vista "non-Ultimate" versions have. Huh...

The longer menu may be coming from Deskscapes being installed rather than being native to Vista.

Very interesting.
Can we add that chunk of code to some other (non-Ultimate) Stardock app? Tweakvista?

I don't think so, my menu was there before Deskscapes.

I don't try to delete anything if I want to change my wallpaper; I just tell the program which wall I want, and it changes it. No problem.

Here's the answer I received from Stardock:

Hello Stacy,

I apologize for the delay.

This section unfortunately does not offer the feature to delete wallpapers from the list. I will forward this to the developers as a feature request.
