[WB6] something's weird... please take a look

Hi, I have a little problem here when try out WB6 trial version, please help.
Here's a picture, please take a look.

That symbol is right where the button of the drop down list locate.
The problem seems to be appear only in IE, and the quick launch bar.
Is that a bug or is there anything wrong with my computer so WB couldn't skin it right or what?
Hope somebody could help me explain this. THX! [sorry for my bad English.]

I might be completey off, but if this shows only if IE is open, it might be because of some script/toolbar installed in IE.

Did you download/install any currency converters?

Does this show even after a reboot?
Does this show if you unload WindowBlinds?

well~ as I said it show on IE and Quick Launch bar.
The quick launch bar one shows that no matter the IE is open or not.
I reboot, reinstall, but same, and if I unload WB, everything would go back to normal, the weird thing would be gone and replaced by the double arrow ">>".

does it do it with different skins? im thinking that it could be a specific skin issue. or a font problem.

I've seen that somewhere but for the life of me, can't find it...

I think Aufisch is on the right track & I think it's tied to some Google thing or another

"tied to some google thing"... mmmm
I'm not 100% sure what I can do... I have been searching about this problem, but seems like I'm the only one whose having this problem...

here one more picture,

the top one is when I have my cursor on top of the button
and the second one... as you see the google tool bar is totally normal.

It looks like your Marlett or MS Sans Serif fonts are missing / corrupted.
mmm~ Thanks, I'll see what I can do...

+++++++++++
I checked the fonts,
Marlett:
I don't see it but I think it's there,
cause the arrow would show when WB is unload or in classic skin.

MS Sans Serif fonts:
It's there but how do I know if there's something wrong with it?

WB doesnt support language other than English so it shows unreadable character?

Run charmap.exe and pick MS Sans Serif from the list.

Post a screenshot of what it shows.

The quick launch bar one shows that no matter the IE is open or not.
End of quote

what's in your quick launch?

sometimes, things are hidden on the bar - easiest way to see all is unlock the taskbar and then drag quick launch off the bar onto your desktop - you can then grab the sides and open it up.

ammmmmmmmmmmmmm~

here's a picture of before and after I shrink the quick launch bar.

picture in #18 = maybe a font issue with the 'arrow'?

picture in #8 (2nd picture) = is there more stuff to the right of 'tools'?

have you changed your system's fonts before installing WB?

what skin is that in #18?

pic # 8:
Yes, there were more but I decided to remove most items and move the toolbar little bit so the weird thing is not there anymore.

pic #18:
Yeah, that's what I would think, but still it's weird that it only happen when I apply skin and also, it works fine with the classic skin with WB.

Skin name: Leo

if you mean the classic skin all the way to the left in WB, that's window's classic - basically turn WB off.

if you have changed your system fonts (display settings), then when WB is applied, it can sometimes cause issues
Reply #23 Top
so my display settings... I'm not sure if I did anything...
I actually did a system recovery recently...
not sure if that did sth funny... =_="

does Leo have per pixel transparency in it?
"per pixel transparency"... yeah I think.
I can adjust the transparency of the taskbar
and the title bar itself is slightly transparent.
