I'm a long time customer......but not allowed access? Hmm.

Can someone PLEASE help me with this problem?

I have been a customer of Stardock's for YEARS. I usually renew the Objectdesktop full suite every year. Over the years, I have periodically come to Wincustomize and been denied a download until I 'cross-referenced' my Wincustomize account with my Stardock account. It was endlessly annoying but at least it could be done and I could download elements to use with my software that I PAID for.
About two days ago, I got this same error telling me that I had to subscribe to Wincustomize or purchase Stardock products. My product does not expire, however, until April of 2008. Now when I try to cross-reference, it is asking the email address that I used when I originally purchased the software and I don't get access until I retrieve an email sent to that address.
OK...what happens if that was YEARS ago and that email address no longer even EXISTS????
The email address that Wincustomize has on file for me is the SAME EMAIL ADDRESS THAT STARDOCK HAS ON FILE!!!
Can someone tell me what to do here. I feel so slighted and annoyed, it's ridiculous.

Please help.

I think this should work..

Open Stardock Central, click tols and then edit Stardock account.

If that doesn't work, email sales@stardock.com with the old email and the new email you want to be associated.  They cn make the change.

For the record if you want to change your email address sales is the way to go. If you have multiple records that need to be merged support is the way to go.

I checked your account, and logged into WC with no problem, then attempted to download a skin, again it went through fine.
Make sure you are logging into WC with your Nickname & Password.

Well, I will try Sales, I guess. I didn't know there was any other way to log in than with my nickname and password. I've been doing it for 3 or 4 years, no problem. I am logged in right now and can't download anything.....except the message telling me I can't download.
Thanks for the replies, guys. I guess I can try Sales although I can't even REMEMBER what email address I originally bought OD with. Ugh.

Your email address is the same as is associated with your account here.

I wouldn't believe you would have to cross-reference this account with anything else and have therefore removed your cross-reference. This feature is really only needed if you have a Stardock.net account (that you use on WinCustomize) under one account and you have purchased software/subscriptions under another account. Since everything is under one account, you should not need this.

Are you still having a problem now? If so, try closing out of all your internet browsers, clearing your cookies and then logging back in again and see if that helps.

Well, apparently that was part of the problem. I'd changed that nickname several days ago and forgot about it and never logged out and back in under the new one.
