multiplicity crashes on Vista 32 and 64

Installed trial ver. (DL from link on your home page today) - primary was Vista 32 and secondary was winows home server. The program works great the first time I use it but after a reboot 'multiplicity has stopped working' shows up every time and then even after uninstalling and reinstalling the same thing happens but this time immediately (don't even get the one working boot)!

So I booted up my version of Vista 64 and same exact thing happens.

Darn! I love this program and was all set to but it. Is there a fix?

Asus p5b deluxe
Intel e6600
4 gig of RAM (all four slots populated -shows 4 gig in 64 and 2.9 in 32, as expected)
nvidia 8800gts (640 mg)
soundblaster audigy

I think this problem may be related to the Buy it Now reminder screen running when Multiplicity starts up. Is this just crashing on your primary? If you turn off Multiplicity to run on startup (Start->Start Search and type msconfig, then uncheck it under the Startup tab), does that help?

Primary only, secondary seems to be fine. Tired unchecking Multiplicity in startup (msconfig) but no help. Upon starting it manually after boot I get the 'multiplicity has stopped working' message instantly.

Anybody else running multi in Vista? Working? Am I in the wrong section? Is there another version I could try or something? Thanks.

I'm desperate. I love this program.

Got you all beat. XP primary, Vista 64 secondary, then another Vista 32.

But for the sake of this post I reversed it under the current multi build with out issue. Both in the 32 and the 64. However if you like you can write into us at support@stardock.com and see if we can't delve into this further for you.

I have exactly the same problem. I installed Multiplicity on my vista 64 bit comp as primary, and an xp comp as secondary. It worked all night really well. I then turned off the comps and next morning when I turned them back on I got exactly the same error messege on the vista 64 comp.

I wonder if this is caused by a bad Vista install or corrupted Vista files?
I will obviously not be purchasing this product until this problem can be resolved.

Why should we write in to you? Isn't that what these forums are for? customer feedback and such? We are telling you whats wrong now. You want us to just repeat the same thing over again even though you have already read the problem? I mean this section of the forum IS called Stardock SUPPORT right?

Seems silly.

joshvee not sure what your experience is in other forums but here the forums, even if it shows Stardock Support is not the official support channel. Here the forums are where users can help other users, yes at times Stardock reps stop by and offer assistance.

The way to identifly a problem with a program and get tech support is to contact support@stardock.com and start a ticket.

OK after the above happened I tried uninstalling it, re-booting, and then reinstalling it. after the reinstall when you click finish on the instalation box the error msg "Stardock Multiplicity has stopped working" instantly appears.

Again Joshvee . . it appears that you have exceeded the community knowledge.
Email support and reference this thread. A case will be created and will go into the support queue. YOu will receive an automated email with a link where you can check the status.

That is your best bet at this point for resolution.

As an aside, I googled Ozteck Computers and found nothing. Link?  it's always interesting to me to learn more about new members.

No link, no website....we are a group of house call tecnicians who repair computers.

We will also on occasion build high performance gaming computers to order.

Unfortunately it is quite common in Australia for many of the smaller computer companies to have no website. Australians as a whole still are not to big on internet shopping when it comes to computers. It is, however, growing. But we get more than enough work servicing our local community through advertising in local newspapers and magazines. We dont feel that internet advertising suits us because we are not in retail sales and are unable to cater to people outside a central radius of 100km or so.

Interesting.  It seems that even the smallest business in my area of the US has a website that provides some information.  It's almost expected and frowned upon if you don't.  Different strokes for different folks I guess.
