issue with missing DLL for WB6

I upgraded to WB6 using Object Desktop -- 6.00.004 still shows under avaliable and not installed even though I installed it -- and -- when trying to run WindowBlinds I get a popup window missing DLL :WindowBlinds is missing a core dll file (WBLIND.DLL) -- Please reinstall WindowBlinds" -- I tried that a few times without success.

I can send an email containing the scrren print of the Object Desktop -- operating system is XP servise pack 2.

With a little work -- I can go back to 5.51 -- and it works.

As an easy solution, uninstall WindowBlinds 5.51 and then install WindowBlinds 6 from scratch.

tried that -- can't uninstall from Object Desktop because it never posts as installed -- stays as available. Even deleted the directory... and registry entries, rebooted, and reinstalled. same error -- I was able to reinstall 5.51... but, the same DLL message happens everytime.

there's a utility that eliminates all traces of odnt from your system. if the only app you have is wb6, maybe you can use that and then reinstall. i'd post a link to it but i don't know the url, plus i'd like someone who knows for sure to verify it removes EVERYTHING before you try using it. maybe island dog, zubaz, nakor, wblinds, frogboy, or zoomba will see this and verify what i said or call me crazy.

Note: This may not work for WB6 and be sure to only select which program you want removed.

reply -- thank you.... I will give it a try. The worst case would be to reload all the Object Desktop items already installed -- or -- go back to 5.51
