How do I download/update to Windowblinds 6?

Stardock Central is treating "WindowBlinds 6" as a new application, so the Update dialog that appears on start won't show it. Maybe we'll tweak that, but under the Object Desktop section, select WindowBlinds 6 from the list and install it.

You can install it over an installed WindowBlinds 5 installation, though be sure to reboot when prompted at the end of it.

After installation, you won't see the WindowBlinds 5 listing (unless you fiddle with the show/hide settings in Stardock Central).

Thnaks, but maybe I wasn't clear. There isn't a Windowblinds 6 in the list to choose from. And I have now managed to hide version 5 but can't seem to get it back. What am I doing wrong. I'm sure it's something stoopid that I've done...

If you have WB 5 installed then uninstall it and reboot. WB 6 should then be available. You need the latest version of SDC installed.
