Does anbody like my conversions

Mebe their enjoying your mods so much that they are too busy playing to have time to open the forum??

maybe people would be a little more responsive if your "conversions" were more than seemingly random sci-fi games and movie races thrown together into a badly thought out mod. just my two cents though.....

I think you came across a bit harsh there. It's your right i guess, but we should remember that foxthree didn't have to do the work and release it. His "badly thought out" mods will only get better if people offer opinions on what he/she released.

For me personally, I went to downlaod from the link, but the speeds were really slow on download. Being that i'm impatient, I cancelled the download. So on that basis I can't comment on the mod(s) themselves.

I will however repeat a comment I made in another of foxthree's threads, that More indepth descriptions of what the mod is, eg, What races are there and what are their race specific stats/bonuses? Are there hull types for each race or new ship models/parts to use?

Also, images are often useful in selling a mod. I personally don't fully trust a mod unless I've seen images of the work. I need to see in advance if it is worth putting into my game, rather than not seeing anything, putting it in and finding I hate what I see.

Do you have a forum topic? A thread dedicated to your mods? I've gotta second what Dragoon said, it doesn't matter how good the mod is if no one knows anything about it. Get a good description up, easy to follow links, some screenshots, etc. Until this post I didn't even know that the conversions existed, not that I looked very hard.

You don't need one. Just press the Print Screen Button ingame, then open up an image editor (Paint will do) and paste. Voila, an image of what was on your screen when you pressed the button.

i'm not much on total conversions myself. from what i've read, yours seem mostly aesthetic - that is, you change pics and music, but the gameplay is virtually unchanged - but i haven't actually tried them out to see for sure. personally i much prefer mods that add new elements to gameplay that weren't there before producing qualitative differences, especially if the AI is able to handle the new rules effectively.

thats not true I change almost everything most of the event movies new technology new planet improvements not just pics and music.Because if there were ships they would be a total conversion.But Im learning how to make ships and I will be placing them in my mods from now on.
