WindowBlinds, Toolbar Buttons skinning

missing normal state image

That's a request for all WindowBlinds skinners:

Since a while, nearly all WB skins have the Toolbar Button Images not completly skinned, i mean first frame of it is not skinned (normal state). I just wonder why, because i just find the skin "unfinished" that way ...

Should it be possible that all of you skinners to give us a complete Toolbar Button Image (if you prefer a flat normal state image, there's an option in SKS called "omit painting on first frame" which you can enable or disable, and though for users also   )

Quite often it makes the toolbar look sloppy and bulky. A perfect example is my October skin. I tried at least 20 different style buttons and they all made the toolbar look clunky. While I understand completely what you are saying, sometimes it is best left clean.
The omit painting on first frame is really for Skinners that use the same images for their system buttons as well as the toolbar buttons. This way they can have the buttons act differently than the other. To the end user it doesn't really matter if ther images are left out or you use the setting. The end user still doesn't see the image. Either way they have to manually edit the skin.
You make a good point though.

yeah i saw that some people like them all skinned (with normal and disable states)
so i made both with and without them for my next one. it's one of the reason i gave up with severals colors substyles for now cause xp+vista+xpwithtoolbar+vistawithtoolbar X 7 and maybe compact X7 in more well i've to make choices so one color and more choice of setup ok thinking on an other color sub...
Oh Nevermind me i need to make a choice Arghhh!!! Grrr!!!!
We can't make a skin that everybody will love so we(means skinners) make what we like and cross fingers that many people like it too

I believe most skinners have gravitated away from dual states as like NT said, looks clunky and very 90's , theres NO way I would ever skin first state. A simple solution for folks like you is to go in and duplicate a state.. add your own effect... Voila
