SDC Server Issues?

SDC just auto-updated to 2.47.479 build 158. And now gives 'Connection Error 1001'. Before anyone asks, there are no firewalls blocking the program, especially as it was able to connect to update the program in the first place. I have uninstalled it, and redownloaded and installed it again. With the same issues. Also done a 'roll back' via uninstaller to 2.46.477 build 158, with the same issues, and now won't even update to latest build. But seems to be able to query the server enough to tell me that an update is available (2.47.479) but won't update (same error). It also is able to query the server to the extent that it tells me that SoundPackager is now available, but can't connect to download it.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Cadvridoc76 open SDC & go to Tools...Settings..Internet & change the server, close SDC, re-open & see if you can update then I just updated using US-1 with no problems.

Thanks MySecret, I tried that earlier and still have the same issues unfortunately. But tried it again to make sure, and unfortunately still the same response

Had problem with the SDC update hanging each time I tried it yesterday (Not Responding) but it ran without a hitch when I tried it this morning.

My laptop updates fine (Vista 32bit) so I'm thinking it must be an issue using Vista 64bit, I've rolled it back to 2.46.477 and will leave it at that and see if the next update solves the issue I'm having. Would be interested to hear if anyone on Vista/XP 64bit is having the same issue tho.
