I read "The Advent are the descendents of humans and have psionic powers" - GameSpy.com This is correct?

I also read that they use there psionic powers on ships that they are fighting. Is that correct?

If so, I am kind of drawn back because of this and wonder if I will like this game because of this one feature that IMO could ruin the game for me, as I am not a Magic/Spell/Weird fan in games. Can you tell how this is going to work in game? I would rather have a real fight so-to-speak instead of using mind powers to defeat a fleet.

It was just odd that you'd bring it up, because someone on IRC was claiming that 'reliable sources' informed him of a beta 4.5 where everyone who preordered for beta 1 would be invited, or something to that effect. So I thought it was some new rumor going around that I missed And I don't want to put words in kryo's mouth, like I said I just glanced at the convo pretty fast.

i would be pretty offended if that were true... favoritism is rude in my opinion. Especially considering I'd have to ask what the point of me beta testing would be then.

and I don't mean the Devs own testing... I meaning some new beta for just Beta 1 testers... what I bought the game a few months later than them so I get cut from the team? Blah
