Can't register recent purchase

So I just purchased Object Desktop. I didn't have a Stardock account but the online store made it clear that wasn't a problem. In my confirmation email my address is listed as a long random string of characters "@temp_paypal", however the POS Stardock Central software that one inexplicably has to download tells me that I "must enter a valid email address to continue" when I try to register using that address. I couldn't find anything about this problem on the website or on the forum... anyone?

Stardock Central (SDC) also lets you chat to other users, archive and restore previous version of the software, shows you new news from Stardock, and links to this forum.  It's a nice tool for integrating all things Stardock.
