enhanced skins?

There are many skins available.  What do you mean by "enhanced" skins?  Do you have a link where you read it?

ah! I found it, I was referencing what I saw on this page: https://www.stardock.com/products/windowblinds/enhancedskins.asp

So when I found my way back to that page I read it more carefully and realized it was pointing me to Stardock Central.

I'm also discovering there are many websites that offer WB skins for download, are there some that are better than others and any I should definitely stay away from?

I hang out here for most of my skins but wander over to DeviantArt now and again

Some sites wrap their skins with spyware. Wincustomize, Skinartistry, Skinning.net, Skinbase, Deviant Art, are all clean sites. There are many others out there, just be careful of what you are downloading. Open and inspect all zip files you download. No skins come in exe. format so never download en exe file.

"enhanced" skins usually come with some form of protein powder, amino acids, multi-vitamins, testosterone boosting agents, etc. to enhance the overall performance of the wb skin when competing against other skins in the same skin category. Skins with more performance enhancers are evident by their high download counts, check out Night Train's skins - his wb skins are greatly enhanced!   

LOL, just kidding about performance enhancers mentioned above (not kidding about NT's wb skins, they are definitely 'enhanced' - those are master caliber skins!). All of the skins at this site are "enhanced" because they're submitted by wincustomize users. Anyone who uses this site by default has "enhanced" qualities which is evident in their skin submissions.

I can't believe I forgot Maxstyles. They come and clean your bathroom for you when you download a skin.

Sorry, another noob question; I'm looking at this skin (https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=5953&libid=1) and it mentions wallpaper and widgets. How do I activate the widgets? Thanks again

https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?search=plasmatron shows all plasmatron related stuff.. the widgets i believe require DesktopX to be installed. Its part of Object Desktop suite is installed via Stardock central. perhaps IR's are standalone's tho, i can't honestly remember.
