Windows Aero??????

I was trying to use the Windows Aero theme for my computer and it only works when a window is maximized. Is that how it's supposed to be? I have 1 gig of ram. What can I do, is there anything else I can do to run Aero all the time?

I don't think Home Basic supports true Aero.
