MDI buttons...... do they work?

I've been working on a new WB for a while and am just about to post it. Just one thing bugging me: the mouseover on my MDI buttons doesn't work the same as on the preview in Sks. So I decided to check out what others are doing that I'm not. I opened a bunch of skins in Sks and compared the preview with the actual result applied. Turned out that not one of them seemed to work properly (some when applied even had the default midis not the skinned ones in the preview) My question is this: is it my settings, WB6, or is this just something I should just accept?

One week, no reply. Maybe a little bump?

If it's XP then they always inherit the classic MIDI buttons if thats what you mean. I think its due to the fact the menu bar uses the classic colors rather than the set images used in SkinStudio for PerPixel themes.

Not exactly.... Mine are skinned but there is no mouseover effect (they are supposed to change color)

Hey 2of3; I just checked a couple skins, they had all states for MDI but pressed was the only state that seemed to be used.

Strange isn't it? Guess I won't let it bug me.

These would be skins with per pixel frames, with pp frames on XP the menu bar can't be skinned, it just applies the menubar classic color, thus default MDI buttons.

Will they work in vista maybe?

I believe they do.

Hi 2of3,

in skinstudio when you have pressed MDI buttons, press the little question mark on the far right hand side, this brings up a window to the left and lists the states of the MDI buttons (you can check all the button states this way) hope this helps..

Hi Kitty!

Your Annihilator WB was one of them that I checked in fact I've been dissecting it to learn all your (dark) secrets! I have a dark borg WB in moderation right now, and I think it's miles better than my first clunker
