WINDOWBLINDS DOES NOT START! NEED HELP

It does not start

I have installed the paid version of windowblinds..but i no longer have it anymore on my computer and cannot get it back. So i tried installing the regular trial version of windowblinds but it does not work. it gives me an error saying i need to reboot my PC even though i already did..it says "you may need to disable any registry protection/anti spiware apps you have and reinstall windowblinds" but i dont have any of those kinds of applications. and the selective options are Reboot Now, Ill reboot Later and Use additional process. I click use additional procress and nothing happens.

What do i so i can get windowblinds trial version and start loading some themes!?

If you purchased WindowBlinds in the past you should be able to contact support@stardock.com to get access to the last version you are entitled to.  That may take care of some issues.

I'd start there and come back here after you've installed and tested that.

Be sure to uninstall any other versions you might have.

If you email Stardock with the original email address they may be able to assist you.
The trial is for trying.  It appears you have tried it, liked it, and paid for it.
If you liked it and paid for it, you should have it.
Contact support.

so e-mailing is the only way to get rid of that message saying i need to reboot my computer and the "additional process" that doesnt load.?

The trial is only for ONE run of 60 days and that's it forever and ever and ever......
If you installed it a year ago and used it for 5 minutes your 60 days ended 59 days, 23 hours and 55 minutes after that.

I don't understand why you don't want to get access to the a product you say you have paid for. Arrrrrr you sure you don't want to contact support?

Salvipride4lyfe I agree with Zubaz, contact Stardock and you could have this cleared up in no time. Is there something that you are not explaining here that stops you from emailing Stardock?

it wasnt mine it was given by a friend and he let me use it because he didnt need it so i used it, i dont know any info from e-mail and such

Salvipride4lyfe, now that wasn't that hard, was it. Your problem is whether or not your friend will allow you to use the original e-mail.

At this point I would suggest that if you want a subscription buy one. A WB subscription is only $19.95 (US). You all ready know that you like the program or you wouldn't be here asking for help. Here's something to remember, if you do buy WB uninstall the trail version from your computer first.

Aye, it is possible that your friend gave you a copy that might be buggy.  I'd get my own copy matey.

i haven't bought WB and I want to try it on my Vista machine, but I have the same problem, but only 2 buttons, restart/don't restart, can someone tell me which registry key needs to be edited to allow it to start properly?

Ayamatta_Kurashi: Open a command prompt as admin (if you have UAC on you must right click command prompt in the startmenu and click run as administrator), go to the windowblinds directory from this and type vistasrv -install.

This should reinstall the service.
