Changing in-game ship size, custom model

Hey all. I am converting the Colossus and other ships from Freespace 2 to GalCiv2. One aspect I am having trouble with right now is increasing the size of the model in GalCiv2. I am using 3ds Max 8 to work on my models. I have tried increasing the size of the model both in 3ds Max generic units and in kilometers. When I do this, the model appears larger when displayed in the shipyard, but is no larger in the Galaxy Map and still the same length in the intelligence report. Any advice you can give me on how to increase my model's size would be appreciated.

Ah shoot, I didn't mean to double post on my first thread, but I don't see an edit button. Here is the model and materials if anyone wants to give it a whirl in 3ds Max or GalCiv2.

The game scales models on the galaxy map based on the filename of the hull model. If it contains/starts with (not sure which) Tiny, Small, Medium, Large, or Huge, it will be scaled to the hardcoded sizes for those types. All others will be scaled to Cargo size.
