When I try to install docklet i get an error and it closes

hi, I just installed objectdock on my laptop it has windows vista and everything is working great except i wanted to install some docklets i got a couple to work and then i wanted a windows media docklet i downloaded it and installed it in the objectdock folder like instructedi then right click and go to "add" then click on "new "sysStats" Docklet" then an error pops up that says "ObjectDock has encountered a problem and needs to close" and when i click it it closes ObjectDock out all together and when i reopen it is the same as before i started.... I have tried to reinstall everything and still it does the same thing...

So i installed everything on my desktop computer with windows XP and everything worked out great and is working just fine....

If anyone can help i would be very thankful....

Thanks in advance,
Jeremy

I'd suggest waiting more than a 40 mins before bumping things...it's late and it's the weekend, patience is a virtue.

If people have an answer I'm sure they'll reply.

Did just use the default version of SysStats that comes with OD? If so I'd suggest updating SysStats to 2.5.11 here's one place to get it:.

I recommended you shutdown OD prior to doing the update since you'll need to copy over some DLL's that maybe in used by OD.

See if that get's you started.

The trouble with SysStats is we don't devlop the software. It is its own entity. After an update from us they often are the very first to update accrodingly. I would highly suggest taking this up with them. However if the crashing issue persists you can always try clearing the cache to remove unwanted commands or empty file folders that could be giving you the issue.

So... how long before we can embed DesktopX widgets in OD+ then (like RightClick!) ?

Try 'run as admin' for Objectdock.exe and the dock won't crash. For some reason though, default.png still shows underneath the docklet. Goes away if you rename it default.bak. Then Vista won't run OD as a startup program anymore so disable the entry in the startup folder and create a task using task scheduler to run OD at logon with the highest priveleges. Any better ideas please let me know.
