United Planets Tech Swap Question

In my current game the United Planets passed a law which required all civs to "donate" three techs to each other. This was pretty cool for me, since I had been lagging behind in weapon research and I scored some lovely upgrades from my fellow civs. The only downside is that I gave everyone three of MY techs, but I have no idea which ones!

Is there a quick & easy way to find out what I gave up? It's not going to matter in the long run (I hope) but it might be nice to know...

If you 'scored some lovely techs' it is fair to assume that they got some of your most advanced techs in the areas they were lagging behind in as well.

The only way to know what techs they received would be to know what they had before the transaction - and what they had after.
Which would mean, scanning their techs via the trade screen both before and after the UP vote.

In reality, you probably can't find out unless you record everything on a per-turn basis.

It would be nice to know. It even makes game sense (to me at least) the UP would certainly want to verify who was giving what to make sure no one was cheating (I'm watching you, Dregins). I would like to see the "Report" come up showing what you gave and what each civilization "donated".

Oddly enough, I WAS the Drengins...

And, just out of curiosity, how does one access the debug.err file?

Don't click on the file itself, open up Windows Notepad and open it in there and everything in it will show.

Taken from another thread for your convenience.

Please go to C:\Program Files\Stardock\Totalgaming\GalCiv2 (or wherever you installed the game at), open the debug.err file you find there in notepad, and copy/paste the contents into a post here. If this is a DA report, you'll find the debug in C:\Program Files\Stardock\Totalgaming\GalCiv2\DarkAvatar instead. This will give us some technical information that can help troubleshoot your problem.

Be sure to copy the debug immediately after the error occurs; if you start the game again, the debug will be erased and recreated for the new session.

Note: If running on Vista with DA 1.6b2 or later, the debug.err is now located in My Documents\My Games\GC2DarkAvatar.

You were the Dregins, eh? Well I have been working my way up the difficulty tree running a custom race and I am currently in a game (tough, med map, common stars, rare planets 5 races, 4 minors) Currently the Thalans,Dregins and Iconians have declared war on me. I am not losing ground (but am losing a lot of ships). I am trying to wipe out the Dregins worlds first since they are the most dangerous and fight a delaying war against the others. So far, it's been real exciting.
