Takes over my appearance window

Help me, please.

Don't get the wrong idea about this threads title. A week ago, when I purchased the latest version of WindowBlinds, I played around with some skins but discovered it wasn't possible to downgrade back to original theme because WB has managed to completely take over my appearance window (under properties when I right click on my desktop).

There are new WindowBlinds button and it can not properly display my theme I was using prior to installing WB. Sometimes, I'd just like to take a break and go back to my old style, but this isn't letting me.

ALSO, WB slows down Adobe Photoshop CS2 when I try to open some browsing menus, such as switching brushes. It literally takes up to five seconds to load the menu.

If there aren't any fixes for these two problems, I probably won't reinstall and lose my money.

I use CS2 and dont see any noticable slowdowns, for what its worth   Also what original theme do you mean ? Luna? If so just unload WB from your system tray and voila, Luna is back, or just apply it from WBconfig.

Best way is to select Windows Classic in WB config and apply it, this turns WB off and prevents it from loading at start-up/reboot. You can then from display properties use any non WB, MS theme, Luna or Windows classic theme you wish to. When you want a WB skin again, just open WB config from start menu and select skin, apply and away ya go.

Thanks, I was hoping my post would be hard to decipher because it's not exactly well written (I just woke up).

I'm going to reinstall now and give it a try. If it works, I'll just use that method and switch back to my original theme (it's Royale Noir, I'm sure it doesn't make a difference though) and use Photoshop.

with WB you can also make it use a different skin on different apps

Open the WindowBlinds Configuration screen and click on View my system information.  Copy/paste that info here.

You can also try excluding Photoshop from being skinned to see if that helps the slow down problem you mention.

WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 5 (5.5 (build 92 x86))

WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC

WindowBlinds appears to be activated on this PC

Your machine does not support per pixel borders on WindowBlinds skins.

This is because :

Your computer is currently in 16 or 24 bit colour mode and WindowBlinds needs to be in 32 bit colour mode to use per pixel borders. Please adjust the colour depth of your display to 32 bit colour. If this is not an option, then you may want to see if you can obtain new drivers for your graphics hardware.

Your computer graphics hardware does not support acceleration of per pixel alpha. WindowBlinds requires this for per pixel alphablended borders as without it performance would be poor. Please see if you can obtain new drivers for your graphics hardware. Recent ATI & NVIDIA boards should support this feature. Onboard graphics tend not to.

(Plug and Play Monitor) 1 is attached to Intel(R) 82815 Graphics Controller

Despite the constant "No, you can't do this!"'s, my machine can pretty much run any skin aside from ones that contain transparency.

The method of going back to my former Windows skins without WB worked fine, thanks. I'm going to attempt to exclude Photoshop now to speed it up.

Where did you obtain this copy of WindowBlinds? You should have better results if you remove this copy, reboot and install either the 'trial' version or purchase the full version at - WindowBlinds

Current up to date version is WindowBlinds 5 (5.51 (build 97 x86))
Wbsrv.dll in your older version is 4 months newer than current version. Did you have trial version first and not uninstall it before install purchased version

If you purchased WB thru Stardock you may want to from your settings (top left on any page but forums) cross reference your email if different here than one used to purchase. If same email was used you should show as current customer not visitor.
