Stardock sure has come a loooong way, so have some of the skinners from back in the day.. of course.. a lot of them are gone too..

Funny to see Russ ( Dangeruss ) complaining about 50 character image names back then.. the more things change, the more they stay the same, fought with a similar issue just days ago over 60 characcter names !    ( Maybe SKS can consider shorter image names?)

By the way Solid Nuts ,Coincidentally I just raised my rating on your latest Icon pack from an 8 to a 9 not 5 seconds before reading this thread

Good stuff, thanks for the links

It's your UnBirthday! (or: roll-your-own skinnable software)
XX, the man myth & legend who created XXCalc at the request of the skinz.org community, has released the source code to XXCalc's skinning engine!

Ok, so he doesn't include the maths portion of it, & the liscence stipulates that you -not- use it for a skinnable calculator.. But skinnable file managers, ftp clients, Teletubby-death-threat-notepads, etc are all up in the air for the making.

Oh, one thing I forgot: you can only get the code if it's your unbirthday (the 364 days of the year which -aren't- your birthday). I had to hold off on posting the news till midnight (When birthday ended & unbirthday started ) ("Happy Birthday" wishes can be sent to here.)

Omg my old site... It's been so long. I don't even remember where my first betazone url was, or I'd have tried to find it again.
