Mailwasher wont fully minimize to tray

Ive been using Mailwasher Pro for years to manage my email, and its actually been running fine with windows blinds up until yesterday. After a reboot Mailwasher suddenly will no longer fully minimizes to the system tray while using any windowsblinds skins. It still minimizes to the tray, but also reapears on the taskbar a second after its minimized. (Minimizing to tray is a mailwasher function, not the WB option)

If I change to a non-WB Visual Style, all works fine. This is the only program that does this so far, so Im posting here and on the Mailwasher site.

Any suggestions?

Anach - I'm running Mailwasher Pro v5.3 and have not experienced the issue you describe. I looked at the MWP options in the hope there was a simple setting change you could make. Found nothing that resembles your problem.

I'm curious - what version of Windowblinds are you running? I think there's something funky with 5.51. I'm still using WB 5.50. What you might try is to to add MWP to the applications that run outside WB and see if that solves the problem.

If you find a solution, please post it. Like to keep track of these things for the day it happens to me. Thanks amd good luck.

Thankyou for the reply.

Well I have the latest MW, and im running 5.5WB as ive heard some other users report issues with 5.51. I guess I could try 5.51 and see what happens (Windows XP)

The first thing I tried was to disable skinning support for MW, but that didnt help and you are correct there were no settings I could find in MW to change its behaviour.

I have noticed similar behaviour from WordWeb's tray icon. Upon first load it displaces in the taskbar as well as the tray, but when I minimize it it goes away. Mailwasher vanishes from the taskbar for a second when hitting minimize, but then reappears almost instantly.

WB 5.51 + OD pro and MW 5.3 and my problem (since a lots of WB and OD versions) is that it's crashing (with an error on Explorer) when launching it as "maximized" from a shorcut in a dock ...   )

If you have Nvidia 162.15 drivers installed, roll them back.

ATI's Latest drivers.

Ok I've found the problem. It was the smarttaskbar for ultramon that was conflicting with WB.

Thanks for the help guys and hopefully my lesson will help others

Anach - thanks for coming back and letting us know. I've got MWP installed on a NVidia system, that's why I didn't see it. Good luck.
