Starmap keeps scrolling to down left corner

Whatever I do, reload game, click whereever

Running Dark avatar latest patch (bought the game yesterday). Under Vista ultimate.

Been playing for an hour... Now all of a sudden the starmap keeps scrolling down left corner. I cannot click anything on the map... The planets look vibrating as it scrolls.. I can click on the menu but nothing I do resolves it.

What now???

Oh... and does any site admin here realize it usually takes 20 or 30 or up to a minute to open a post or post something... Every click takes that long... And yes, my internet connnection is perfect and no, I don't have any other issues with sites... And this site has been giving problems for days.

Do you by any chance have an Athlon64 x2 Processor?

It's working well enough for me, I've gone through movre than 100 threads this morning so far...

I have the same problem. It seem seem linked to right mouse button scrolling. Scroll to the edge of the screen and release, it will continue scrolling. Only way to fix it is to do the same thing in the opposite direction.

I use Vista Home Preminum x86 /w an good old P4 3.2gHz

Yes, I have an AMD X2 4200+ why??

BTW: it took about 3 minutes to get this posted... Definitely big issues with this site...

It sounds very much like the known problem caused by outdated AMDx2 CPU drivers, but this is the first report I've seen of it on Vista. Normally I'd just say to grab the updated driver from AMD's site, but there doesn't appear to be a Vista version there yet. If there is one out there, you might be able to dig one up and give it a try, though.

It's definitely not the cpu driver... Like you said, Vista doesn't have a driver update. The reason being that it doesn't need one and is allready included.

But I haven't experienced the scrolling issue since though. So at least that problem is now of lesser concern.

i've had this bug repeatedly, and i'm running on a pentium D / winXP MCE. sometimes it goes away on its own, but i can't identify why.

I have had this same problem, running XP home, usually happens when I click and hold the map to drag it around, and if I get to close to the left edge, then it locks into a contimous scroll to the left, and the only way out is to save, and reload. And I do not have a duel core machine.

Re: slow forums

I also experience forum issues, not only from home, but also from work. A traceroute shows that something with Comcast's routers are causing the issue. We use Comcast at the office, too.

Just an FYI, and I don't know if it applies to anyone else.

Try pointing/dragging/clicking/moving the mouse towards the direction it is moving on its own. Also try the arrow keys in all directions. When a similar thing happens to me that's what I do and problem goes away. I don't get the planets vibrating though, so it could be a different problem.

well, ive experienced this problem as well on my old presario laptop, and i find that going into the menu and hitting "quick save" usually fixes the problem.

regarding the site slowness, i get it intermittantly. sometimes the page will load quickly, other times it might take a minute. im not quite sure why...
