Installer Error

This error number means that the "specified path is empty". I am not sure what it means in this specific situation. Where are you trying to install it to - anywhere odd? Failing that, what are the details of your system in terms of operating system version/edition and language?

I accepted the default location suggested by the installer.

I am using Vista Home Premium with all updates through last week. Language = US English.

I too accepted the default options in the installer.
Received the same error..
get there error on this dir:
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Stardock\Object Desktop
The dir is not empty however.
I have Vista Ultimate and all updates as of today. Lang = us.

Any suggestions? Really want to test your software. Thanks.

As a temporary workaround, does it work any better if you select it to install "Just for me" rather than for "All users"?

Same problem for me with Vista Ultimate X32 on a X2 3800+ with 2GB DDR3200. Plenty of HDD space too. A solution would be greatly appreciated.

I guess it's unlikely, but did any of you have a previous version of TweakVista installed (from tweakvista.net) before attempting to install this beta? Failing that, do you have Office 2000? (if so, try this)

i have never installed any previous versions of TweakVista before.

Nor have I! I have Office 2003 installed but not 2000. Odd

I had never installed TW previously. I havw Office 2007 installed.

Just to add to the list. I would like to install it but am having the same problem (2343).

I am running Home Premium and have Office 2007 Enterprise installed.

I have also tried other locations and using the 'Just for me' option with no change.

I am installing on a UMPC (Samsung Q1 Ultra) where the community is looking for a good optimisation solution as it's running the new Intel 800mhz proc so if we can sort it out I'm sure you would see a reasonable level of sales from the community.

We believe we have identified the problem in our installer that is causing this, and hope that the next release will fix the problem. Thanks to everyone who helped track it down!

AWWWW!! YES!! now we have some support on this. btw can you (GreenReaper) reply to this thread once the new version is out? i have this thread emailed to me when it gets updated.

The download should be replaced now. Hopefully it will work a little better for those of you who were having problems with the installer.

Mine just freezes when i start it up i have to restart my pc and remove it i asked for a refund and help im geting pissed off i cant get a hold of the suport people i just want my fucking $20 back for there bunk software.

theres no need for this type of language , i am sorry that it doesn't work for you but resorting to this juvenile dribble will not help the situation. if you just have a little patience you should get an answer from support. hopefully they will give you back your money and we will never be disturbed with your dross again.

I believe these forums should be closed to only members to use and make the others who are not members go to support for their so called complaints. All I see here in the last few months now is people complaining about stuff. The which is usually due to ripped softwares and or a bad install. To not say the least - members are tired of trying to figure if this is the case or what is going on.
There has to be more control brought into effect for these sort of things. Personally I know of atleast 5 members who will not even post or for that matter - give any part of their time to these forums. Mainly because of the trash that is posted here. People get tired of it!

Please change the forum controls and make it a better place for us members!

I'm still having the problem, Support told me to download Stardock central and regsiter but ive done that it still fails. Im awaiting their response but if anyone out there had the problem and has sorted it out, tell me how.
