Technical Question...

My understanding is that GalCiv uses multi-threading in the program/A.I. Does this mean I finally have a game that utilizes my Hyper-Threading P4 3.06 Ghz to it's more full potential? Could this be the first game to use multi-threaded programing? It does play really, really fast. I never have to wait between turns so far, though I have yet to play a really big game yet.

Thanks in advance.

It should help. There is in fact an option for hyperthreading enhancements in galciv/data/prefs.ini, but I don't know if enabling it will have any effect.

BTW, I tried enabling the hyperthreading enhancement in the prefs.ini (by making the value 1 as I assume is correct) and it crashed right away, right after loading a game. It doesn't like hyperthreading I suppose. I have all the requirements (p4 3.06 ghz, win xp pro, mobo with hyperthreading enabled). No real biggie I suppose, plays lightning fast anyway, I just wanted to utilize this much hyped technology.

I read a quote about multi-thread in the readme file ... check it if not done yet ...
