Windowblinds fails to apply any skin

Upgraded to Vista home premium from XP. Windowblinds not working so uninstalled and reinstalled. Windowblinds configuration box opens with no problem but clicking on "apply this skin now" has no effect at all. Using a right click at the bottom and selecting "apply this skin now" also has no effect at all. Stardock thinks it has applied the skin as it then refuses to delete the skin if I select "delete this skin" but it hasn't and it doesn't go to the system tray. I've also just found that I cannot use the "enter" key to get a new line while I'm writing this Here is my configuration and I'm sorry but I can't put it on a new line! I have the same issue with the 6-19-2007 release of Windowblinds.

What happens if you apply Aero from within WindowBlinds, then apply Classic and then reboot your computer.

Does this have any effect?

That did work - thank you. Still can't use my enter key in Stardock Central.

Glad to hear that did it

I will contact the SDC lead developer about this issue you're describing with carriage returns. Which version are you currently running?

You're welcome, but I can't take credit for finding it out...

Zubaz and a couple of others have pointed it at one time or another

Just as a final comment; The problem won't occur again as I've taken Vista off and gone back to XP.

The "shareware" version has a time limit. After this time period you will only be able to use the XP OS skins. An un-install and re-install of the "shareware" version will not reset the time limit.
