System Tray not showing up in Vista

Just installed objectbar with my objectdesktop 5.5, when trying to add a system tray element, nothing appears except for a little blank space. I enable my MCP notification area check box in my stardock central settings (found in other post), but that did not solve the issue of no icons in my system tray. Any help would be great.

Thanks.

Stardock this has been going on for a long time. Please help us Vista Owners out.

Is it a compatibility problem with objectbar 2 and vista? Or is there a way to get the system tray to function correctly in vista?

Wes,
Hum I recently got Object Dock 1.9 in hopes that I could run the system tray (and icons) but it seems that it works the same on my "vista" as 1.5 did

I was under the impression that Object Dock 1.9 would fix this problem..

Stardock/Wincustomize site, can anyone help?

I am running Object Dock 1.9 Plus and from what I knew, the System tray bug was fixed...

am I wrong?

Please any advice would be greatly appreciated for me and Wes..

Thank you

Anne

There appear to be two issues here.

The original poster (Wes) is concerned with ObjectBar.  The current OB systray does not work with Vista.  The plan is to update it to the same system that ObjectDock is using in the future.

AnneMarie,
In OD,1.9, the systray support is in place and working.  Have you uninstalled, cleared your cache, and reinstalled?

I have the same problem as AnneMarie the vista im trying to get this running on does not show the systray. I have uninstalled everything, removed all registry entries, all files that I can find and then tried re-installing and it still doesnt show.

Any ideas? Its Version 1.90 plus build 535U i think...

System Tray support should work for ObjectDock v1.9....but is not yet available for ObjectBar v2.0. We're updating it soon to include this support!

It also doesn't work in DesktopX, and the addons IN DesktopX such as performance meters doesn't work and the Start menu button stays in view when you select to hide the taskbar. Hopefully this will be remedied when the new version is released.
