Sure I loved to. Though I might not be able to do a whole lot do to my class schedule but I will try to release some new ships from time to time when I get a chance. It would be a nice place to host what I have converted.

Nice stuff AggieJohn. Being a fanatic "The Evil Empire"-player *evil_mad_laughter* i already have some Star-Wars like models and templates. Yours will be a nice addition

I also feel this could be the appropriate occasion to share some Race-pictures which i made and have been using for quite a while now.

They have been on my harddrive for a while, but i believe, the Character meshes for Palpatine an Thrawn are originaly from www.scifi3d.com, i did some refinement, lightning, rendering and the composition.

Have you made any of the crazy looking droid ships yet? 

Any chance these ships could be uploaded elsewhere?
That host seems to hate me, always had issues with them.

Well I have focused on the Empire, cause its my favorite ship types but there are a few CIS ships if there are some requests I will consider doing them first. I am not really working on any set schedule or anything. Be honest I did my favorites already. So what I work on next is anyones game.

Yeah I am working on uploading all I have done at the I-Mod website. Hope to have it done by the weekend cause I have more ships done but I was going to wait until I have a "home" for them more or less.

So a little Memorial Day gift for the community. I have created an IMPERIAL ship pack and it is over at the I-Mod-production site. Its about 30 something ships.

So I have been trying to use these awesome models but I cannot for the life of my get them to work.

I am running the most recent version of DL.

what seems to be the problem? For example are they not showing up at all or is there a texture issue? Cause you should be able to copy all the content of a folder and paste it in the gfx/model folder. Make sure you do not copy the whole folder or it will not work.

Ok bare with me, I'm a little slow with all this.

what parts should I put in the gfx folder, and which parts should I put in the model folder? Basic install instructions would be great, I searched the forums but I didnt find a satisfactory answer.

Also are these models compatible with mods such as B5 and the star trek mod and if so how would I get them ingame? I cant think of anything I would enjoy more than stomping the federation with some star destroyers.

Yeah all files go into the gfx/model folder sorry I was abit unclear with that, just make sure you dont just unzip it in the model folder you have to take all the files out of each folder I only put them in folders like that so people could pick and chose what ships they wanted if you put the whole folder in they wount work.

As far as the other mods, I dont know. Maybe if you put them in the mod/gfx/model folder they might be generic ship hulls but I never tried it that way. I suppose you could replace a hull if you wanted but that all on you.

But I unzipped the folder and transfered somewhere around 12 of the models (taking the individual files out of the folders and putting them in the gfx/model folder) but when I run vanilla up to date DL and go to the ship yards only one of the models will appear for each class. So i typically get the Tie bomber, the Assault gunboat, carrack light cruiser and so forth.

I can't figure out why more arn't an option. I used the fast research just to go all the way down the tech tree to see if that would work, but I still only have one for each class.

Any suggestions? I was actually wondering if i need to get rid of some of the original hulls because I am unsure if it caps the number of hulls you can have for each ship size, but thats pure theorycrafting.

Once again I appreciate any advice you may have.

If I copy files for the ships I want to the correct folder, but I need to overwrite .X files because I also added ships from the Rebel Package, what do I do? In my understanding, if I overwrite the .X file (originally from the Rebel pack) by the one in the Imperial pack, I'll loose the "data" for the rebel ship?

That whole thing is unclear to me...

Another stupid question probably: is there a way I can access the ships in the shipyard just to see them? Or I need to play a game, have the correct techs in order to finally have them in my list...?

PS: by the way, the ships look awesome!

@wraith547 uhhh good question I am pretty sure you should have more than just one. I thought it went to ten. See its all in the name S99 means its generic and all factions can use it ie S1 would be the human faction and so on. Medium, is hull size of course and _1 is the slot number but then again I did not try to put them all in at once so you may be right.

Yeah that is a problem if you use both packs they will over right each other so it one or the other unless you stagger the last number and use half and half or something. See they are all currently "generic" S99 hulls every faction gets them you could rename the x file to replace a current hull or name it and add that name to the ship type file (see mod guide) that would make it specific to a faction and it would have its name say Venator instead of large hull 4.

Good news is that this saturday is my last day of class till the September so I can work on the mod more. I will try to release a mod soon that has the ships all scripted in so that this is not a problem. I also got permission to use a bunch of really neat KOTOR ships as well so they will be ready along with the CIS later, say around the 4th of July.

greeeat. I'll wait for the final package. In the meantime, I'll just use some of the Imperial pack.

Oh, and for my question about checking the ships in the shipyard, any clue?

to see them you need to the right techs but just the basics such as medium building and large hulls and so on. They will just show up as generic large, small, and so on hulls.

Very nice work, I just love them.

Only one problem occurred. I copied all files to Gfx/Models but not all appear. The Tiebomber is visible as a hull, the Tie-interceptor is not. Am I doing anything wrong?

In my case there are no hardpoints (? Those tiny red arrows) on the SSD hull, either.

So, is my installation somewhat screwed??
