Making Video Portraits for a race

How to?

I want to convert some video files from a game called Starcommand: Revolution to GalCiv2: Dark Avatar to use as a race portrait. However i don't know how, does anyone have a link to a tutorial how to convert .avi files to .bnk files required by the game, and how do you convert files that are lower than 30 fps to 30 fps without making everything go too fast?

Bink creates the .bik files, but now its unable to play them . Crashes on every instant i try to play the files i just converted.

well We used it this way in our Mods and it all works well, did you checked the size and the bitrate?

an often made mistake is the link to the file in the xml's,

I promise you it works, well just try a bit around

I think you misunderstood me, i meant bink player crashes when i try to play the converted .bnk files.

oh yes sorry I missunderstood you, well did you used RAD Tools? which version?

try out other versions available at the net.

I used the latest version avaible on the site of the developer, i also tried earlier versions, and similar results. I also have a problem where the tools refuse to process single files, but works fine when i do it in batch. But transforming things to .bnk doesn't work, just creates a file that will crash the bink player.

I could probably host the video files i want converted somewhere if anybody could help me with this?
