Steam.exe is an appliation developed by the Valve Coroporation. It's purpose is to serve as a main hub to all of Valve's Online and Single Player games. It includes a Web Browser, Games List, Servers List, Instant Messaging and more. Steam.exe itself uses an average of 5 Megabytes of memory, but running Games through Steam create additional processes. Steam is used by Millions of users worldwide.
