Can I play DA with Vista on my notebook?

I just bought (May 7th) a Dell 1710 notebook with kick ass graphics using 512 MB of NVidia Go force 7950. I have been hearing that DA may have some trouble with Vista. Some posters have said that this has been solved by fairly recent drivers. What is the story?

I play DA on my notebook all the time, and it is Vista, 2k RAM, and only a 256 Video card. You should be fine

I'm thinking of picking up HP Pavilion dv9207us Notebook this weekend at CompUSA because it will only run $800 after rebates. I think I'm going to go to NewEgg.com and bump the RAM to 2GBs for like $95.

Pretty nice stats for such a cheap price.

Be careful about buying anything at Comp USA. They are closing stores all over the US and not honoring warranties, return policies or put in sneaky return policies burried in the receipt.

For electronic items, I would go elsewhere.

Damn, that kind of sucks because my girlfriend just bought that laptop from CompUSA with a 2 year warranty. That would suck if something happened to the laptop and they didn't honor the warranty.

Have been playing for a while on a laptop (Dell) with Vista and 7800 Go. Installed the 158.18 nVidia driver (used modified inf file). Playing like a dream. Having a real blast with the game.
