Bug with buying Trade Goods!

When you buy a trade good from another race, It doesn't look like you have it. When I recheck my list of trade goods in the Diplomacy screen, I don't see it after I buy it. What's up with that?

I have version 1.4x on the Dread Lords FYI.

As far as I know this is intentional. You get the bonus from the trade good, but you're not allowed to trade it further to anyone else - consider it a licence without commercial rights.

I think it's because the race that first developed it, has the monopoly of trading it,as the informative window says in-game.

After buying a trade good from another race, it doesn't appear in the trade window but you do get the bonus from it. I tested it with Xinathium Hull Plating by comparing ship's hit points before and after buying it.

The real question is, is this intentional?

And while we're at it, i have another trade goods related question. Besides the bonus i get from having the monopoly on a particular trade good, how does that affect my trading? Do my trade routes wield more bc's per turn? Also, does it grant any bonus to the race i'm trading with, like if i have harmony crystals, do they get the bonus or part of it for as long as i have trade routes to their planets?

Yes, as only the race that developed the good can trade it around.

Trade routes and trade goods are in no way related.

Yes. You only get the option to give it away in the trade screen if you control the planet it's built on.

Trade goods have absolutely zero effect on trade income; they exist to grant you a bonus only, and to allow you to share that bonus with other races for whatever price you can get.

I see. That means if i get Harmony Crystals, i can trade to all the other races just like a technology. Thought that it was like a one time trade, you trade it and the other race would then control the monopoly on it, like they had discovered it in the first place.
