escort problem

and then return to escorting when the fight is over

Will there me an option to escort trade ships? Or is there, I tried it once , but it didn't seem to work. Down the road I can see other races doing attack runs on trade routes..

if you right click on any ship the ship you have highlighted will begin to escort but will not protect said ship yet

unless they fixed it in this last beta

Sorry this wasn't fixed in the last patch.

dear devs i took a closer look at this problem today and found out that the escort ships are fighting sorry i didn't look closer before this thread

on my defense you do have to zoom all the way in to see it happen

new escort ideas


the ships do fire on enamy ships but the enamy ships have to come to them

this is what i think should happen

1 flax and scouts and colony frigates should stay near the escorted ship either to protect that ship or to recieve protection from that ship

2 heavies and cruisers should move to intercept the enamy and when they enamy is dead/destroyed then resume escort duties

@dan - your ideas would be part of the order of battle system we are proposing.

i know i just didn't know for sure which feed so i put them in here so as to attract more attention maybe
