So? New Beta? Final realease?

If you look at SD central, the last listed release for WindowFX is Aug 2006!!! So when the heck are we going to get the next version?

It would be great if Stardock could streamline this thing so it uses memory/CPU time more efficiently and works faster (like Beryl Project in Linux). Regardless....a new release with significant improvements would be very nice.

Unfortunately some products don't get updated as often as they'd like due to various reasons. Sometimes the same developer does more than one program. I don't work for Stardock btw.
Also August is only 6 months ago, and yes it would be nice not to have a beta be the last release, but these things happen. I would imagine its on the agenda for this year.

Stardock is pretty busy on making things Vista-compatible at the moment.

The beta should have been switched to final.  I will see if I can get that fixed next week.

Regarding the future of WindowFX.  There are plans for new features in the future but thats all I can say right now.

so is there any improvements in the final that you are going to arrange next week? or is it just changing the beta to full?

I would infer from Neil's comments that the current beta will be declared a release version without any changes, but that inference could be wrong.

That would be my disappointing inference as well. This is a good program....but it needs to be tweaked!

It should be listed as final. Sounds like a Stardock Central hicup.  That is the official 3.0 release. We did a bunch of news items about its release at the time.

still reading b005 in stardock central

The latest version showing is 3.00a[ b ].005 dated 25/08/2006. Must be a glitch in the matrix, even Keanu has off days

The latest full release is 3.00.013, if you uncheck the "pre-release" option...but it's release date is 06/06! So even though the last triplet is higher, it may not be the latest.

Regardless....we got to get this fixed.

Okay...so....when are we going to get away from beta .005?? Or is development of this little project terminated?

Okay....so i just downloaded this new release...3.00a.014...and it took about 10 seconds to realize that it STILL CRASHES WINDOWS EXPLORER!!! It took me less time to discover that then it did to DL the program. NEXT!!!

You need a new version, that's all. What we have now does not work with Vista that great. If you upd other prog. then stardock nds to include this.
