How would this happen?

Went from 9-15 Billion per planet to only 9 Million per

I was playing the end game and was winning. I was down to attacking the last race and thought it was going to be an easy win. Then for no apparent reason with only a 25% Tax rate and popularity up to 60% every planet had a Sevier drop in population from about 6-15 or more billion per planet to exactly 9 million (that is million with a M). I just don't know what could have caused this. Anyone know how this could happen? Or did I just experience a glitch or bug? I wonder; because I didn't do anything (that I know of) other then what I have been doing all along, well all along in the games I have won that is,lol.

I would guess a glitch, without plague I don't think all your planets can be affected, or even one at random.

The only way that I know of to drop a planet's pop that quickly is through espionage. If you drop an agent onto a farming improvement, it will immediately do away with all of the population that farm allows you to have. I've always thought that this concept was deeyewembee, but that's the way it is. If the enemy AI did this to you, it would account for the drop in pop, but surely you would have noticed hordes of enemy agents on your worlds. Plus, this tactic would be a bit more clever than even the DA AI could come up with on it's own. So, it's probably an 'aberrant outcome'. If you have a save from just before this happened, hang on to it. If no other explanation is forthcoming, then Stardock may like to see it. Sorry I can't be of more help.

I will look; but with it only allowing 4 saves (that is how I have it set) I don't know if it is still there; because I just finished another game. As for the agent on one of my planets farm, I am playing DL not DA, and I didn't think the AI could do that in DL? I will go and look for the game; but then I don't know where it even saves the games at?
