Vista WB BSOD with USB Dongle MS Remote

ok, at first i thought maybe i had a bad installation of windows or something, cause i was really messing with vista, breaking it, fixing it, and son on. anyways, if i had my USB IR dongle plugged in for my MS Media Center remote, i would get a BSOD on boot up, unplug it, and no problems, boots right up. i couldn't figure out what was causing it.

so i reformat, set up everything, and cool, it's working. i install the current version of windowblinds for vista, and the same BSOD, unplug the dongle, boots right up. i uninstall windowblinds, and no problems.

so there seems to be a weird bug with a MS USB IR remote dongle for media center remotes, and WB.

any thoughts?

What are the exact details shown by the BSOD?

Also what build number is your WB install? (System Information page)

now, let me say, i seem to have found a workaround for me, i plug the IR receiver into my monitor USB ports, which don't seem to be activated until after this problem occurs. i also think it's tied to the video driver somehow, windows vista suggests that i upgrade my video drivers or something, or tells me it's a bad driver, but i've tried different versions of video driver with no change.

WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 5 (5.50 (build 102 x86 - Vista Edition))
