Upgrading Ships

Ok, i can't seem to find out how to upgrade alot of ships with only a few mouse clicks. having to upgrade alot of "warships" one by one is getting extreamly time consuming... enspcialy when you about 60 of them and in fleets. Is there a quicker way to upgrade alot of ships at once? and when i make a better ship i always name is like F-100 Tiger, F-150 Tiger, ect.

When you go to upgrade a ship, there is a checkbox with the caption 'Upgrade all ships of this class' which will do more or less what it says.

Please note the checkbox is not that easy to see. it is located on the left, slightly down from top.

Keep in mind that upgrading all is a fast way to go mega-bankrupt. Even early upgrades can cost in the region of 40000+ bc. It's worth it to destroy or trade away some of them first.

One way to avoid bankruptcy for upgrades is to update ship designs so that there aren't huge numbers of each one. Then when you go to upgrade, pick the ships that are most out-of-date and bring them up to current specifications first.
