Eurogamer has grabbed details on the new Civilization title reported on early this month. User Yarlen was correct in predicting that the title would be another expansion for Civilization IV although its doubtful he thought the title would be ready in July.

2k Games has corrected the reported title to Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword instead of Civilization IV: Beyond the Stars and detailed some of the content including 10 new civilizations. Naturally the new civilizations, such as The Netherlands, Portugal and Babylon will all possess their own unique style and leaders as well as buildings and units.

The second expansion to 2005's Civilization IV will also include random events such as natural disasters and new corporations that can provide substantial benefits under the correct conditions. Developer Firaxis has also added in additional features and deeper AI for those looking to take the diplomatic approach such as earlier access to advanced spy techniques, and a load of resolution and diplomatic options. The title will also come with a advanced start option, allowing players to jump into the middle of their evolution, enabling them to start farther down the line to save their summer.
