Video Card?

I just got the Galactic Civilizations 2 Gold Edition, and I have all the requirements, except I don't know if I have a compatible videocard... can someone tell me how I can find out what my videocard is and how I can see if it is compatible with Direct X 9.0c?

Thanks.

There are few combatability issues with video cards.

Remember that most hardware is designed to be compatible with your operating system and most games in turn are designed to be compatable with your operating system as well.

The only thing you need to worry about with your video card is lag (how smoothly the game will run due to video card/cpu speed)

Open the debug.err file with Notepad - it is located in the main game folder, usually C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2(\DarkAvatar).

That will show details of your system
You can copy and paste the contents in a reply if you want to get advice about it.

Not so. I know someone who can't run the game because his video card is one of those on-board jobs, ands isn't compatible. I'm guessing it has to do with Hardware T&L.

Sorry i should have said "in most cases". Of course there are exceptions.
