Help With Downloading

Hey all, I'm new to these forums and just wondering if someone can help me. I'm having a little trouble downloading Dark Avatar. I already have GCII installed onto my machine. I have bought the digital download which gave me a link to download Stardock Central which i have done and installed.

I have also regestered my serial for the game.

How do I now download Dark Avatar add on pack?

Open up SDC browser, and click on the 'games' heading at top left. Click on the game title itself, and a download link should appear beside it.

You may have to enter your serial # you rec'd via email when you purchased.

Heya, thanks for the quick reply.

When I click on the 'games' heading in the top left I get 2 sections on the right. One says purchased software and has my GCII in there, the other is demos and in neither section does it have anything about downloading Dark Avatar or any icons for downlaoding it :s

I'm running blind here ...I don't have the games installed. Gimme a while and I'll try to get back with an answer..

[I do have SDC, but use it for the other Stardock software, I'm not a gamer ]

Click the + icon next to Galactic Civilizations II in SDC. You'll see a list of modules appear underneath and that's where Dark Avatar is.

SDC should list Dark Avatar under the GC2 heading, if you click on the + sign. Assuming you already expanded the selection something may be wrong. Here is a screenshot from my SDC.

Hey all, thank you so much for all your help and thanks to Nonexistance for making the effort to do screen shots. Much apreciated!

I managed to fix it in the end. Just for future reference it was the serial code that was causing the problem. I bought GCII from a bargin bucket a few months ago and I never updated or entered the serial code for it! As soon as I completed the registration for CGII the Dark Avatar icon appeared and installed fine

Just one more quick question tho. Is there anywhere that I can go to download a setup executable for DA or will I always have to go back to SDC to install the add on?

You can only download it via SDC, but you can also use SDC's archive option to save a copy to burn to a disc for later reinstallations.

You can also contact sales@stardock.com if you'd like to get an 'official' disc to go along with your GC2 disc. Do note that you'd get *just* the disc, no box. It would cost $10USD shipping to the UK (no other fee) since you already bought the download-only version.

Thanks for the info Kyro, I'll prob just go for the archive option as I dont really require an official disk. I just wanted an option to reinstall if I wipe my computer or have no BB access.
