My adventure with Capt. Cornbread at the playground!

What a jolly good time!

Today was a rather normal day. Except for the part that it was pajama day at school. Anyways back to the subject. I went on a field trip today and came back to find Capt. and his little sister on the school playground. I stopped by to see that Capt. was playing tether ball against his self and I don't remember if he was losing or winning though. Anyways, I asked to play with him along with another little girl around 7 or8 years old. Me and Capt. made at bet. I bet him that me and the little girl would beat him. Well my plan back fired on me and we lost. (Mainly because I had to hold the girl up so she was the same height as Capt. Well finally the girl went off and played with Capt.'s sister. It was on now! Just me and Capt. one on one. This time I won. Well i kinda cheated but hey, he has an advantage of being taller than myself. He seemed to be a little frustrated. Well the next round he was serious about winning. So now he started hitting the ball as hard as he could. Well he happened to hit it a little too hard and it flew at me and hit me somewhere that im not going to say. Lets just say it was on the upper part of my body. lol. It was time to get him back. So I took a swing at the ball and ended up hitting him in the face. Oopsy! my bad i guess. lol. Well, it turns out that I won agian. yay! Now it was time to explore the wonders of the playground! We had fun and enjoyed the slides. It was quite fun because Capt. was trying to climb up the 3 slides hooked together but i got a little bergade of kids to help me block him from getting up. Finally we gave in and let him up. Well it was around 7 and it was time for our adventure to end for today. But I'm sure we'll have alot more in the future.

Oh...you just shotdown Capt.'s spirit...again...lol Ah, well...sometimes even the greatest must taste the bitter taste of defeat....Although, I just want to know one thing...how come everytime we play tetherball someone gets clobbered or killed(well almost)?...lol

Carebear~sounds like you and the Capt. had a lot of fun, huh? OUCH! . I mean, I hope it didn't hurt TOO much when you guys were clobbering each other with that crazy ball! . I can actually picture the two of you going up and down the slides, and just having the time of your lives there. Did you go on any swings at all? Those were always the best part of the playground for me~back in my wild and crazy childhood days (around 100 years ago!).


So I enjoyed reading this a lot. You have a real creative talent for taking the reader on a journey to all the really cool places you have visited before~and you always make it seem like a lot of fun! The Capt. can do that too. I can see why you both are such good friends, etc. Thanks for sharing this really cool little visit to the playground! I almost feel like I was there on that slide too~your cool writing really did help me to imagine the scene that clearly! Thanks again!

Alright, thanks for making all BIAS comments carebear!!! First off, you won because you kept grabbing the ball. Secondly, you didn't have much luck stopping me because the bigger the 'kids' were the more they ended up hurting themselves. Kristen just kinda got under me and ran over, and Jessica just kinda lid down without doing much at all. That's when you lost. You ran out of ammo.

Oh wait, one more thing. I've got a nice little bruise on my heel from playing without my shoes and blisters on the balls of my feet. I say, tthe next time you just have flip flops on I'm not going to be so nice, as to take mine off. And that place I hit you was clearly just your stomach, and we both know that it didn't hurt you that much. But you just about beet a blind man when you knocked off my glasses. So don't even make it seem like you're better than me at tetherball. I would've kicked your butt if you didn't cheat!!!

Yeah right! You know I could beat you if we had a rematch right here right now! lol. Ok next time.......I'll play fair and won't cheat. So lets set a date. Maybe sometime after school on a monday, wendsday or thursday. How bout that! lol. Next time i'll make sure not to wear flipflops either. ANd you really didn't have to take off ur shoes. You did know that right. But I guess you were just being the true gentleman you are. But I guess you'll have that. So yeah just tell me when you want to be beaten by the almighty Carebear!! Mwwahahahaha. lol

I think my hand was in just as much pain as yours was. I have a gigantic bruise on the side of it, not to mention you clobbered me with the ball a few times!
