WB 5.5 User icon&Font size

using XP

There is not an entry in "Override default settings" to show user icon on/off,or font overrides, %larger/%smaller.

Has this feature been removed in WB 5.5.....Thanks

I didn't even notice until you pointed it out but it looks like control of the User Pic is back in the Skinnner's hands one again. Muahahahahahaha

How can I get the last version of Window Blinds prior to 5.5?
(This is a serious question. I have a subscription to Object desktop and I recently purchased a new computer so I don't have the prior versions archived)

I want the earlier version because I'm not planning to upgrade to Vista and also because I prefer to be able to choose user pic and font size myself.

Control of the UserPic is in the hands of the skinner but is also in the hands of the User via SkinStudio - very simple to change. And, once a user icon is set, the User Overrides section in WBConfig for 5.5 has an option to 'keep the current user icon' (by unchecking the 'If a skin has a replacement user icon...' item).

Font size is a different story - from what I gather, using anything other than the default 96dpi can cause all kinds of display anomalies. Might be why they removed that option.

Yes you can enable "Hide User Picture" for those with SkinStudio.

If a skinner uses a frame image and the user picture overlaps the frame it looks a bit of a mess, you're stuck.

Where as before, those without SkinStudio, had the option of disabling user picture in WB config, they're stuck without an option.

It was a good option, I think it should be reintroduced back into WB config "Overide default settings"....

I agree. Would seem simple enough.

The question "Has this feature been removed in WB 5.5.....Thanks" hasn't been answered.
Sometimes you see great skins with not so great usage of screen fonts... having the choice to override them, via WB Configuration Screen, is a lot easier then digging in SkinStudio, where you don't have a global switching action.

So...?
