What does it take to get an answer to a problem?

Your computer has a Windows Experience Index base score of 4.4

Your Windows Graphics Experience score is 4.4

WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 5 (5.50 (build 100 x86 - Vista Edition))

WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC

WindowBlinds appears to be activated on this PC

(Generic PnP Monitor) 1 is attached to NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM)

I submitted a technical question to Stardock last week because I am unable to use Windowblinds.....Whenever I hit " apply skin" nothing happens, so I can only use the generic Vista skin. I have another computer with the same exact setup except using XP and windowblinds works perfectly.

I have been using Object Desktop for almost four years. Can I not at least get some help from you people? (I did receive a reply to my technial question email which simply wanted to know if I had thelatest revision of Windowblinds....I replied that I did and it didnt help, but received no further reply).

Patience, generally.

Review the initial reply from tech support - there may be some specific instructions about how to escalate your request. For better or worse, that's the system they use.

You may also get some feedback from other Vista users &/or SD staff here. I remain on XP & 2K so can't be of much help, I'm afraid.

Things on the boards are a little slow because most/many of us aren't on Vista yet and ALL the Vista problems are new. I imagine Stardock has a lot of "support" emails since the Vista release as well.

I would hope someone with Vista who had the same problem might tell you how it got fixed but for me.........

I'll suggest that you uninstall > reboot > reinstall via SDC (seems like most problems are standalone installations) > REBOOT. Can't stress the reboot enough or that anyone upgrading from the trial (I know your not but others may read the post) UNINSTALL the Trial FIRST. Good Luck. Keep bumping the post up every few hours as there's a lot of people passing thru.

Thanks for your help. I have uninstalled-rebooted-reinstalled via SDC many times but the result is the same. Maybe OD will come out with another revision.

might want to use the zapper........
Back up all your skins first.

The ZAPPER
should be creepy music playin in the background.....

IF the zapper don't work (almost always does) there's two options on the bottom of the System Info page. try them.

Thank you, Lantec. The zapper worked perfectly, although I missed hearing the creepy music Now my windowblinds works perfectly. I never knew about the zapper but I am gonna bookmark it now.
