SVD and Java based programs can be troublesome

I use 2 programs that do not behave well with SVD. They are Amibroker and ZeroLineTrader, 2 trading software packages. If I open a dialog box for either of these (say to set parameters for a price chart or to alter trading strategies) and close the dialog and then move off to another desktop, when I return to their desktop, the dialogs are once again open. With Amibroker I can close the dialog normally (and the splash screen which also opens back up), however, with ZLT I can not close the dialog(s), although I can open and close a new one, which also opens again after a switch of desktops. Eventually, I get so many open dialogs that I shut ZLT down and restart the process anew. Both of these programs connect to a broker through a java based portal. Any thoughts vis-a-vis a remedy?

in svd configure - exclusions - i find 3 java exes excluded and a box marked to hide replicas of excluded apps

would that have a bearing?

Aha, yes. That seems to have done the trick. Thank you.    One other off topic question. How do I put a CR/LF in this reply? I have tried Enter, Ctl-Enter, Alt-Enter and Ctl-Alt-Enter, all to no avail. Very odd.

Carriage Return/??...?

You mean spacing/line breaks?

I just hit enter. If you're using either the WC browser or SDC, that function doesn't seem to work. Zubaz posted something... I think it was ctrl+m, but don't quote me...

Let's give it a try in SDC.

Ctl-m works like a charm.

Many thanks.
